A man was burnt to death inside his car early Wednesday morning in Buru Buru phase five in Nairobi.
Terrance Korir the 36 year old man burst into flames inside his car; a Subaru Imprezza in the parking yard. Police suspect the possibility of arson.
He was married to Ruth Wanjiru and blessed with two children.He was an employee at Bank of Africa in westlands.
“We heard screams from the wife at around 8.30 am and the car alarm went off. Upon responding ,the car was already on fire with smoke coming from the windscreen.” Tweets a neighbour.
Controversial details have emerged as some allude to the possibility of it being a cover up. They say the lady killed the husband first before setting him ablaze in his car.
Neighbours say the vehicle busted into flames in the parking yard leaving the man charred beyond recognition.
Buru Buru police boss Adamson Bungei said that they are yet to establish the cause of the fire. He added that preliminary analysis of the wreckage showed only the inner part of the Subaru was damaged killing the man who was seated in the drivers seat.
Neighbours awed in shock as they gathered around the car before it was taken to the local police station and the body taken to the mortuary.
More investigation into the matter is still on going.
